Statement
The T lamp is inspired by paintings in the Performance B series which centers around geometrical shapes and finding the balance between them. And now, extending those ideas into a physical lighting experiment. The horizontal line of the T is represented by a LED fixture, balancing on a brass line with a matt wooden sphere at its base. The lamp has a T shape when it is horizontal and when moved to a vertical position, it transforms into a thin line which gives more emphasis to the sphere at the base. The structure of the lamp is simple but the 180 degree swivel gives the user the ability to pursue various shapes and positions of the lamp which can be used to set different moods or illuminate certain areas of a space, or for reading your next book.
